  1. Put important IN FRONT of urgent.
  2. Build a habit of peace and renewal, instead of getting something “accomplished”
  3. PLAY - I love watching you play. How often are you playing? What’s the point of going 24/7 if you aren’t enjoying yourself, or are missing the moments

Phone Rules

  1. In the AM, do your morning routine before checking your phone.
    1. Consider deleting from your phone if you don’t use it for business.
    2. Use a tracking app to see your usage.
    3. Turn off notifications
  2. Set times that you’ll check social media
    1. There really is no reward for returning emails at 3am.
    2. Use an out of office!
  3. Set times you check (and respond) to emails. Train people what to expect.
    1. Dinner time, phone out of sight, charging. Check once after dinner (or if you go back to do work, do it from the computer on Imessage). Away from social media.
    2. Leave the phone out of the bedroom (or keep away from your bed).
    3. Have a date night and don’t pull your phones out.
  4. Create Phone Rules:
  5. Most importantly, when you are with others, PUT DOWN THE PHONE! No one on social media is more important than the person in front of you.
